A Profile
I am married to Maggie and we have one son, Stephen.
I come from Cornwall. I trained first as a teacher of Religious Studies at Sheffield University. I taught in two different schools in Lancashire. After 16 years, I left to train for the Baptist ministry in Manchester, while pastoring a church in Leeds.
I was ordained in 1994 and have ministered in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, Newton Abbot, Devon and Leicester.

Embarrassing moment
I worked as a Saturday boy in Halford’s. We had plastic models wearing leathers. I had to bend past one to take something out of the window and it began to fall. So I quickly grabbed it and stood it upright. It was one of the customers – a ‘he’!
